It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward A. Carlson of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, who passed away on November 8, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the sacred silence of farewell, Edward is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Edward's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Florence Carlson and Andrew Carlson; and his brothers, John and Stephen Carlson. He is survived by: his sister Theresa DeBoer (Russ); his sister-in-law Patricia Carlson; and his extended family, Yucong Nikki Fan and Chinese (family: Uta McLin, Samoan). He is also survived by family; and Uta McLin, his Samoan family.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Olaf Catholic Church (3220 Monroe St, Eau Claire, WI 54703). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Memorials may be designated in Ed's name to St. Olaf Catholic Church, Catholic Charities Hawaii or to Regis Catholic School Foundation.
