Kristeen G. Adsit Obituary
Kristeen Gay (Dennie) Adsit, of East Troy, passed away unexpectedly in her home on May 30, 2023, in the presence of her loving husband, just one day shy of her 75th birthday.
Kris was born on May 31, 1948 to Arthur and Evelyn (Gay) Dennie. She graduated from Big Foot High School in Walworth, Wisconsin, and was united in marriage to Phillip Adsit on December 6, 1969 at Faith Lutheran Church in Walworth. To this union, three children were born: Jennifer, Katharine, and Joshua. She worked many jobs throughout her life, forming lasting friendships with her sharp wit and caring nature.
Kris was an avid crafter; a crocheted baby blanket from Aunt Kris was a coveted and long-treasured gift, not to mention her impeccably cross stitched pieces, corn husk dolls, grapevine wreaths, and homemade soaps. She will also be remembered for her love and pride in her family, her love of animals of every shape and size, her interest in Native American culture, her delicious pickles and pickled green beans, and her overwhelming love of olives!
Kris leaves behind her husband, Phil, and son, Josh, of East Troy; daughters, Kate (Karl) Sawyer of East Troy, and Jenne Ruegge of Ainsworth, Nebraska; grandson, Clint Ruegge of Johnstown, Nebraska; and sister, Beth (Jeff) Wedge of Port Orange, Florida; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents Art and Evelyn Dennie, parents-in-law Harold and Gert Adsit, granddaughter Chaeley Ruegge, and brothers-in-law Bruce Adsit and George Margosian.
Private services will be held at a later date.
