He was predeceased by: his father Marius Svendsen (Gregersen); his siblings, Anina Jacobsen (Lawrence), Edith Juul (Harold), Alvin Svendsen (Janet), Einer Svendsen, Viggo Svendsen, Rueben Svendsen (Evelyn) and Raymond Svendsen (Margaret); his brothers-in-law, Jerry Jaragoski and Richard Mutchler; and his parents-in-law, Sylvester and Helen Jaragoski (Wilowich).
He is survived by: his wife Willine B. Jaragoski; his children, Anne Ammons (Garry) and Jim Svendsen (Lori); his grandchildren, Ryan Svendsen (Katlin) and Erin Svendsen; and his sisters-in-law, Beverly Mutchler (Jaragoski), Marion Svendsen and Florence Svendsen. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
