He was predeceased by: his parents, Elva Lawson and Jake Lawson; his stepfather Fred Petrie; his brother Keith; and his stepsiblings, Hazel and Floyd.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Peshak; his children, James Lawson (Janie) of Clive, IA and Donna Siolka (Robert) of Holmen, WI; his grandchildren, Taylor Siolka (Emma) of Portland, OR, Trent Lawson (Carrie) of Coralville, IA and Kylee Kowalski (Travis) of Holmen, WI; and his great grandchildren, Harper, Otto and Hudson.
