John left this world on January 5, 2025 at the age of 95, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Martha Hendrickson Hora and John J. Hora Sr.; and his son Thomas M. Hora. He is survived by: his former wife Carol Mathis; his son John J. Hora III; his wife Florence Simms; his grandchildren, Bethany Edmonds (Nathan), Aly Hora (Logan Howe), Christopher Hora (Adriana) and Jackie Oettinger (Andrew); and his stepchildren, Judy Anderson (Tripp), David Simms, Randy Simms, Debbie Beenken (Jim) and Rick Simms. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church (5001 Co Rd G, Eagle River, WI 54521). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location.
