It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Francis Lansing (Eagle River, Wisconsin), born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, who passed away on August 14, 2024, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, John Francis shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid John Francis farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Catherine Ann and William Lansing; his friend Bob Steele; his spouse Jean; his children, Jackson, Alex, Nick and JJ; and his pet Zoë.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the White House Correspondents Association Scholarship Fund to support promising journalism students at colleges and universities around the country.
