He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Edwin; his wife Betty; his sisters, Audrey Evans and Phyllis Birch; and his children, Gary Valkenaar (Constance Klesczewski) of Eagle River, Holly (Theodore Evans) of Miami, Lynn (Michael Woolley) of London and England. He was also cherished by seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
