It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eugene Schmechel (Eagle River, Wisconsin), born in De Pere, Wisconsin, who passed away on November 10, 2019, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Clarence Schmechel and Irene Schmechel; his wife Nancy Lange Schmechel; his daughters, Lori VanEssen (Bob), Lisa Zuleger (Greg) and Lynn Tasch (Chris); his grandchildren, James VanEssen (Aleka), Cassandra Smith (Chris), Weston Zuleger (Mackenzie), Astina Zuleger (Steve), Mykal Schmechel (Aubrey), Payton Rausch and Chloey Tasch; his great grandchildren, Mya and Eden; and his pet Kola.
