He was predeceased by: his parents, James L. Hovland and Kathryn Hovland (Metcalf); and his siblings, Myrna Anderson and Robert "Bob" Hovland. He is survived by: his significant other Lynette "Sparky" Dovell of Durand; his children, Jason (Gina) of Downers Grove, IL, Sarah Anderson of Wisconsin Rapids, Chris Perry (Michelle) of Lake Wissota and Shannon Perry of Prescott; his grandchildren, Levi, Marlowe, Emma, Alaina, Coltyn, Keegan and Aleena; and his siblings, Mary Pfeiffer (Gary) of Durand and Jon Hovland of Durand. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorials are preferred in Buck's name to the Durand American Legion Post #181 of Durand.
