He was predeceased by: his parents, Ignatz Wittig and Julia Wittig (Kainz); his siblings, Joseph (Helen), Alfred, Anthony (Wilma), Louis, Edward, Anna Wilson (Glenn), Margaret-Sr. Mary Avila Wittig, Marie Hayden (Walter), Helen Stilson (Robert) and Theresa Wittig; and his brothers-in-law, Donald Fischer and Kenneth Holmstadt.
He is survived by: his sisters, Edna Fischer of Bayport, MN and Gertrude Holmstadt of Plum City; and his sister-in-law Mary Ann Wittig of Menomonie.
