He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward George and Catherine Teresa Coughlin; his sister Jane; and his son Lucas. He is survived by: his wife Eva-Maria Mombelli-Hoehne; his children, Jacqueline Traun (Michael Traun), Pascale Stuckman (Brian Stuckman) and Daniel Coughlin (Elaine Bell); and his siblings, Kevin, Thomas, Mariann and Catherine. He is also survived by seven beautiful grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
