He was predeceased by: his parents, George Martin and Elizabeth Lillian Langsdorf (Yonkee); his brothers, Merlyn and Donald; his in-laws, Robert and Mary Ellen Roche; and his siblings-in-law, Donald, Eugene, John Roche, LaVern Huggett, Dick Hepp, Bill Hemling, Alice Hepp, Carol Jean Roche, Donna Roche, Mary "Bert" Hemling, Marion Langsdorf and Betty Langsdorf.

He is survived by: his wife Ellen Roche; his children, Michael Langsdorf, Patricia Bleich (Pat), Jeanne Langsdorf, Mary Ann Kranz (Steve), Janet Wiersma and Robert Langsdorf; his grandchildren, Danielle Kranz (Craig), Dillon Kranz, Briana Ladwig (Andrew), Gavin Wiersma (Kristin) and Jessica Borde; his great grandchildren, Rylieh Morgan, Oliver Ramig, Kiley Baillies, Maggie, Ashton Ladwig, Caiden, Tegan Wiersma, Eliza and Emilia Iverson; his sister-in-law Patricia Huggett; and his nieces and nephews, Dave, Dan Hemling, Tom Roche, Susan Rechek and Mary Martin. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

“As a young boy, Deb was one of my heroes as the driver of the Dettman owned midget at Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie. My father was friends with the car owner, and frequently helped work on the midget. Deb was always so calm and friendly to me--and I was in awe of the bravery of him racing midgets in those days--before roll cages were mandatory. Though I have not seen him since the late 60's--he will always be remembered as a competitor with great character.”
