He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hamm, and Milsom Hamm, Sr. (Jorstad); his siblings, Bob Hamm and Violet Schmidt; and his son Brian Hamm.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Grinker; his children, Randy Hamm (Valerie) and Sandy Liazuk (John); his grandchildren, Stephanie Winey (Aaron), Stacy Knop (Al), Amanda Campbell (James), Nickolas Liazuk (Cheryl) and Heather Schlichting (Dan); and his brother George Hamm (Beth). He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, two step-great grandchildren.
