He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Leiser and Esther Leiser (Hines); his siblings, Laurine Higgins (Larry), Marlene Slamka (Ronald) and Robert Leiser; and his brother-in-law Michael Schuetz.
He is survived by: his children, Sarah Van Lanen (Luke) and George Leiser; his grandchildren, Owen Van Lanen, Olivia Van Lanen, Elayna Leiser and Ethan Leiser; his former wife Mary Leiser; his sister Jacqueline Schuetz; and his nephew James Schuetz (Joan). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the Gunderson East Funeral & Cremation Care (5203 Monona Dr, Monona, WI 53716). The military honors was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:15 PM at the Highland Memory Gardens (3054 County Hwy N, Cottage Grove, WI 53527).
