He was predeceased by: his parents, Wesley Hunter and Evelyn Hunter; his brother Tom; and his nephew Greg. He is survived by: his wife Edith; his daughters, Patti Kersten (John), Amy Jappinen (Erik) and Alicia Tverberg (Eric); his grandchildren, Matthew, Lauren, Tessa, Alyssa, Hannah and Allison; his stepgrandsons, Nick (Katie) and Alec; his stepgreat-granddaughter Reese; and his siblings-in-law, Marilyn Trevorrow and Gene Potterton (Carol). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and special friends.
Memorials may be made to the Dodgeville United Methodist Church or the Dodgeville Rescue Squad.
