He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Rohowetz and Twila Rohowetz; his wife Carla Szarafinski; and his brother Tom. He is survived by: his siblings, James (Lynn), Phil (Gail), Mark, Mary Fitzsimons (Chris), Diane Flora (Mike) and Dave (Angie); his sister-in-law Wanda; and his child Maite of Mexico. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, Richard had a kind and generous heart and therefore requested donations be made to the following organizations: St Joseph Endowment Fund or Unbound (unbound.org).
