He was predeceased by: his parents, Wendell Massey and Sarah Massey (Reese); his son Tom; his sister Roberta Fulmer (Donald); his father-in-law Howard (Goldie Thompson); and his brother-in-law Homer Thompson (Mary).
He is survived by: his wife Amy Thompson of Dodgeville; his children, Elizabeth Randall (Ron Distler) of Scales Mound and Vernon of Richland Center; his grandchildren, Bethany Randall, Jacob Randall, Mallory Hermanson (Mark) and Wyatt Massey; his stepgrandchildren, Nicholas Distler, Nathan Distler (Danielle) and Melissa Wachter (Chris); his great grandchildren, Lyla Randall and Arlo Hermanson; his nephew Brian Thompson (Lisa); and his niece Christine Thompson. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Shriners Children's Hospital—Chicago are greatly appreciated.
