She is survived by: her parents, Donald Gies and Mary Gies (Weitzel); her husband Tim Balk of Dodgeville; her son Trevor (Megan Socker) of Janesville; her granddaughters, Daisy Balk and Lillian Stavn; her brothers, Kevin Gies (Julie) of Smyrna, TN and Brian Gies of Janesville; and her mother-in-law Joan Balk of Dodgeville. She is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and many friends.
