She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Edward Mueller and Rosa Mueller (Markwardt); her spouse Alva Smith; her children, Gene of Livingston, Melva Hillery (Craig) of Darlington and Jim; and her grandchildren, Jason Hillery (Ericka), Bradley Hillery (Maria), Lori Hassig (John), Angie Krausse (Josh), Reggie Smith (Nicole) and Ashley Krueger (Eric).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Upland Hills Hospital Auxiliary, the Iowa County Historical Society or Dodgeville Public Library would be greatly appreciated.
