He was predeceased by: his parents, John Reed and Emma Reed (Lee); his wife Mary Tremelling; his brothers, Milan and Vernon; and his half-siblings, Wilbur Fingerson, Herbert Fingerson and Fern Cook.

He is survived by: his children, Jill Anderson (Tom) of Blanchardville and Rod Reed of Reedsburg; his grandchildren, Alysha Anderson, Jordan Anderson, Jason Reed and Lyndsey Reed-Knebel; and his great grandchildren, Carter, Camry, Emma and Declan.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to the family for charitable donations.
