She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Updike and Mabel Updike; her sons, Francis "Pep" Layde and Tommy Layde; and her brothers, Billy Updike and Carlos Updike.
She is survived by: her husband Tom; her daughter Cindy; her grandchildren, Jodi VanNatta (Travis), Scott Layde (Diliana) and Jeff Layde (Jolene); her daughter-in-law Bonnie Layde Burbach; and her great grandchildren, Talan, Trevor, Gavin, Grayson VanNatta, Dejanada, Delilah, Ender Layde, Zoey, Zane and Jerzey Layde.
In lieu of flowers, a Dorothy L. Layde Memorial Fund has been established.
