He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Burkum and Thelma Burkum (Helgerson); his sister Muriel Schantz (Burkum); his stepson Jacob Ross; his stepgranddaughter Madisyn Pedretti-Ross; his brothers-in-law, David Rach, Larry Loew, Clarence Mikl (Clancy) and John Mikl; and his niece Lisa Olson (Adam).
He is survived by: his wife Marianne Mikl Ross (Micky); his sisters, Helen Rach, Connie Adam and Karen Gudmundson; his stepsons, John Ross (Roxanne) and Jeremy Ross (Stacey); his stepgrandsons, Jermyn Pedretti-Ross (Kassie), Andrew Ross, Aleck Ross and Landon Ross; his great grandchild Aniya Pedretti-Ross; his siblings-in-law, Bonnie Mikl, Sandra Loew, Bernie Hassemer (Earl), Vergene Knudson (Kevin), Janice Mikl, Dennis Schantz (Donna), Rick Mikl (Jeanette) and Jim Mikl (Stephanie); and his friend David Gordon. He is also survived by Many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
