He is survived by: his son Jim (Jimmer); his wife Karen Stankevitz; his children, Angela Derouin (John Henderson) and Jimmer; his daughter-in-law Tonia Derouin; his grandchildren, Nora, Quinn and Lena Derouin; and his siblings, Ann Derouin, Beckie Derouin, Bill Derouin (Pat), Nancy Thomas (Jim), Ed Derouin (Judy), Sandy DelGiacco (Michael), Brad Stankevitz, Gary Stankevitz (Sandy), Steve Stankevitz (Marcie), Sandy Murphy and Dan Stankevitz (Karen). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.
