He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Koenig and Betty Koenig (Otto); his father-in-law Norman Linden; and his sisters-in-law, Sue Thiel and Lynn Linden.

He is survived by: his wife Karlene Linden of Mary's Catholic Church; his son Ricky; his daughter-in-law Stacy Koenig, Jr.; his daughter Patty Koenig (Mike Behrmann); his grandchildren, Makayla Koenig, Mariah Behrmann and Paige Koenig; his mother-in-law Phyllis Linden; his brother Terry Koenig (JoDee); and his friend Mike Chevalier. He is also survived by two nieces, one nephew.
