He is survived by: his siblings, Lynn Shafer of South Beloit, IL and Bob Shafer (Wendy) of Delavan; his nephews, John Shafer (Jennifer) of Delavan and Kyle Shafer (Cassie) of Australia; his niece Joann Shafer of Janesville; and his cousins, Matthew Shafer of Darien, Dick Locy, Wayne Locy of Elkhorn and Bonita Locy of Elkhorn.

“I will miss our frequent talks on the phone we talked about God and the Bible as well as our common friends. Every once in a while David would bring in Ken Love as well. I have picked up the phone and then remembered he passed. He is greatly missed but is only for a while. I am sure he is enjoying his time in Heavan and learning so much. To family i am sorry for your loss. May God bring comfort to you and salvation to your homes.”
