He was predeceased by: his uncles, Harry Peterson and Alton Peterson; his sons, Harry Jr. and Gene Peterson; and his brother Warren Peterson (Margaret) of Peshtigo.

He is survived by: his son Duane Peterson (Sharon) of Delafield; and his daughter-in-law Sarah Peterson of Richmond. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Paul's Church to benefit the youth.
