He is survived by: his parents, David Sr. and Susan Batey (Dignam); his wife Susan; his son David Tengler (Theresa); his grandchildren, Caleb Matthew, Zachary Joel and Annabelle Lynn; his sister Nancy McCarthy; and his siblings-in-law, William Thurwachter (Donna) of Scottsdale, AZ, Todd Thurwachter (Midori) of Vienna, VA and Amy Seering (Steve) of Eagan, MN..

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the KM Education Foundation, 563 A.J. Allen Circle Wales, WI 53183.
