He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Meland and Olive Meland; his wife Jean Meland; and his brother Norman Meland. He is survived by: his brothers, Naymen Meland and Peter Meland (Marjorie); his nephew Donald Meland; his nieces, Debra DeSmidt (Dave), DeAnne Blount (William) and Marie Meland; his great-nephews, James Meland and Maxwell Blount; his great-niece Sydney Blount; and also, Cameron Meland and Carly Meland.
