He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry "Hank" Juul and Ruth Juul (Berndt); his sister Jill Adams; and his brother-in-law Daniel Relph. He is survived by: his wife Bonnie; his daughters, Shelly Schroedl (Nicholas) and Alicia Lux (Scott); his grandchildren, Taylor, Brynja, Anya, Kaden, Kevin, Kaison and Kashton; his nephew Bob; and his niece Tina.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Gene's memory to the Salvation Army or Dane County Humane Society.
