He is survived by: his parents, Donald Bernards and Merle Bernards (Rabe); his wife Debra Bernards (Peterson); his children, Jennifer Ray and Joshua Bernards; his grandsons, Jordan Ray (Jenn) and Tyler Ray (Lexi Lois); his great grandchild Ryder Ray; and his brothers, Gerald Bernards (Karen) and Jeff Bernards (Penny). He is also survived by other nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Don's name to the VA Hospital.
