He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Nelson and Kathleen Nelson (Williams); his mother-in-law Alice McGaw; and his brothers-in-law, Carl Meier and Jeff Lechten.
He is survived by: his wife Kim Nelson; his sons, Bryan Nelson (Coral) and Mike Nelson (Kaitlin); his grandchildren, Eli and Thera; his brother Tom Berger (Brenda); and his siblings-in-law, Denise Meier, Leslea Lechten and Mitch McGaw. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
