She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Strand and Clara Strand (Bjornstad); her husband Gordon Alexander Nesthus; her son Kenneth Nesthus; and her half-siblings, Marvin, Sigrud, Albert, Clarence and Violet.

She is survived by: her daughter Kathleen Lee (Rusty); her grandchildren, Jeramy Wolf of Madison and Justin Lee of San Francisco; her sisters-in-law, Doris Kulow of Cambridge, Betty Pohlman of Deerfield and Ruth Klein of Cambridge; and her pet Buddy. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
