John E. Schollmeyer Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John E. Schollmeyer (Deerfield, Wisconsin), who passed away on October 8, 2022 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Schollmeyer and Emily Schollmeyer (Landwehr); his children, John Jr. and Jeanine; his siblings, Marion, Evelyn, Leona, Arlene and Carl; and his children, Wayne and Sherri.

He is survived by: his brother-in-law Dale; his wife Elaine; his children, Joe Schollmeyer (Kim), Jeff Schollmeyer (Toni), Jeana VanSkike (Harry), Sue Matson (Glen), Steve Peterson (Debbie), Sandy Sayler (Mike), Lisa Peterson-Meister (Michael) and Jim Peterson; his daughter-in-law Mary Peterson; his sisters, Margaret Splinter (Karl), Donna Ladwig (Joe) and Jean Bills (Dale); and his siblings-in-law, Ruth Langmeier (Jack) and Bill Straavaldson (LaVae). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was surrounded by his loved ones throughout the day and prior week, and has found peace from his struggles with Alzheimer's. John was 87 years old and was born at home on Dec 24, 1934.
