It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anton Novak Sr. of Deerbrook, Wisconsin, born in Antigo, Wisconsin, who passed away on August 21, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Czechoslovakian and John; his son-in-law Gary Bauknecht; his granddaughter Lisa Bauknecht; his great grandchild Vincent Spotswood; and his siblings, Rosemary Wegter (Folkert), Milo Novak (Laurel) and John Novak (Rose Marie).
He is survived by: his wife Lillian Steger; his children, Joanie Bauknecht-Peterson (Scot) of Deerbrook, Kathy Novak of Appleton, Paula Van Ooyen (John) of Antigo, Jan Novak (Sandy) of Kaukauna and Tony Novak Jr. of Deerbrook; and his siblings, Bessie Steger (Earl) of Antigo and Joe Novak (Eva) of Clintonville. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
