He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Lucy Deer; his children, Yvette Deer, Milton Deer, Nicole Deer-Riggle and Rory Deer Jr.; his grandchildren, Nathaniel Leonard, Gary Ferguson, Naylynne Leonard, Khalon Thomas, Brock Riggle and Bryce Riggle; his great grandchild Samael Ferguson; his sisters, Charlene Tebo, Patricia Brown, Eileen Brown (Terry) and Vonetta Brown; and his close friend Dave Sprain.
