He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Giese and Elinor Giese (Sletten); his parents-in-law, Hans and Ila Simonson; his siblings, Everett Giese, Frieda Bauman and Norma Mlsna; his siblings-in-law, Jane Giese, Al Mlsna, Leonard Klump, Verlyn Krause and Bud Bauman; his nephews, Michael Giese, William Giese, Paul Krause and Terry Krause; and his niece-in-law Dorothea Krause.
He is survived by: his grandson Bruce; his daughter Alma; his wife Jean Simonson; his children, Tamara Barclay (Kenneth), Bruce Giese (Theresa), Rebecca Lusk (Michael) and Douglas Giese (Toni); his grandchildren, Ashley Larson (Erik), Ashley Buechler (Sean Caflisch), Melissa Johnson (Erik), Matthew Lusk (Andrea), Rachel Barclay (Paul Jones), Jessica Lusk (Jack Papke), Kristin Barclay (Marc Ramirez), Gustav Giese (Anna) and Ila Giese; his great grandchildren, Alexandra Klingenmeyer (Ethan), Tatum Buechler-Bristol, Linleigh, Evelyn Larson, Mikayla, Brooks, Hadley Johnson, Grant and Ava Lusk; his great great grandchild Amelia Klingenmeyer; his parents-in-law, Donna Klump, Eileen Krause, Dale, Dolores Simonson, Glen and Arlys Simonson; his daughter-in-law Stacey Burnstad; and also, Arne, Tama Trussoni, Nate, Danielle Trussoni, Elaine, Dan Elliot, Lisa Proksch, John and Patty Stilwell.
