He is survived by: his wife Marion Stendel of De Soto, Wisconsin; his children, Laura Thompson (Matthew) of La Crosse, Tammy Kratochvill (Shawn) of Green Bay, Charles Stendel III (Janell) of Churchtown, Freddie Stendel (Shelley) of Caledonia, Shawn Stendel (Michelle) of Sparta, Victoria Newsome (Todd) of De Soto and Valerie Guider (Steve) of Arlington, Wisconsin; his siblings, Herman "Bud" Stendel (Sherry) of Postville, Iowa, Sharon Pratt of Waukon, Mary Ann Ryan of Waukon, Susan Enyart of La Fayette and Margie Schulte of Dorchester, Iowa; and also Karyl Henkes (Bob). He is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
