It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Anthony Spalla Sr. of De Soto, Wisconsin, who passed away at the age of 88, on February 12, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Spalla and Rosalie Spalla (DuCharme); and his siblings, Herbert, David, Thomas, Francis, John, Rosalie, Jeaninne and Denise.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Arlt of De Soto; his children, Rebecca Mattson (Dan) of Lansing and Anthony M. Spalla, Jr. of De Soto; his grandsons, Michael and Gabriel Mattson; and his sisters, Veronica, Mary, Stella and Ann (Doug). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (648 Main St, Lansing, IA 52151). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Immaculate Conception Church boiler fund.
