He was predeceased by: his parents, Valentine Nowak and Cecelia Nowak (Rukamp); his son Jeffrey Nowak; his brother Howie Nowak; and his parents-in-law, Leonard and Elsie Phillips.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Nowak (Phillips); his sons, Russell Nowak (Denise), Jay Nowak (Carrie) and Chris Nowak (Mary); his grandchildren, Bill Nowak, Drew Nowak (Maria), Carli Stueck (Tom), Alli Haberland (Matt), Sasha Hixson (Jimmy), Cara Kinderman (Sam), Hunter Nowak and Ashley Nowak; his brother Chet Nowak; and his sister-in-law Joy Nowak (Thomson). He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
