He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his children, Joel Smits (Veronica) and Michael Smits; his mother Hazel Smits; his siblings, Randy Smits (Cheryl), Ron Smits (Barb) and Gale Pierre (Daniel); and his friend Kathy. He is also survived by many brothers and sister in-laws, nieces, nephews.
