She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Smits and Delores Smits (VerHaagh); her husband Paul Ness; her brothers, Richard "Dick", Anthony "Tony" and John "Ping"; and her close friend Ron Martens.
She is survived by: her daughters, Tammy Phillips (Jamie), Barb Coisman (Lonnie Block), Cindy Van Rite (Jason) and Crystal Krueger (Jason); her grandchildren, Michael, Brook, Tyler, Kyle, McKenzie, McKayla, Trentin, Kennedy, Korbin and Justin; her great grandchildren, Loretta, Azaria, Patsy, Gerald, Virginia and Margo; her siblings, Janice "Farmer" Allen (Earl), Patricia "Bubbles" Kucksdorf (Mike), George Smits (Sam), Elmer "Butch" Smits (Lisa), Tina Smits (Huey) and Lisa "Lulu" Smits; her sister-in-law Linda Ness; her close friend Bill Foster; her friend Rieley; and also Charlotte Schenkus. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
