He was predeceased by: his father Wallace McMonagle; his son Jim; and his brother Bob. He is survived by: his wife Rita Dumas; his children, Deb Manders (Paul) and Green Valley; his grandchildren, Chris (Andrea), Holly Mathies (Mike) and Mark; his children, Eric Manders (Abby) and Sue Crabb (Greg); his granddaughters, Michelle Henrikson (Matt) and Melissa Scott (Zach); his great grandchildren, Amanda VanderLogt (Aaron) and Heather Hayward (KeAndre); his grandchild Jodie Martens (PJ); his great grandchildren, Nick Halstead (Silvie) and Jessica Dye (Dan); his grandchildren, Greg McMonagle (Donna) and Green Bay; his great grandchildren, Taylor and Noah; his grandchild Shawn Hanaway (Sean); his great grandchildren, Logan and Olivia; and his siblings, Carolyn Jansen (Doug) and Ron Boss (Debbie). He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren, many sisters and brothers in-law.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to Alzheimer's and Diabetes Research.
