He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Schmitz and Mary Schmitz (Forbeck); and his sister Kathy Becker. He is survived by: his siblings, Jim Schmitz (Karen), Larry Schmitz (Judy), Nancy Martin (Denis) and John "Jack" Becker. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other extended family.
