He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Vanden Berg; and his siblings, Edward Ebben (Mabel), Leona Kielpikowski (Nick), Jeanie Vanden Eng (George), Harold Ebben and Norbert Ebben.

He is survived by: his sister-in-law Irene Ebben (Pat Smits). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established.
