He was predeceased by: his parents, Malphias Smith and Verila Silas; his children, Gerald Smith and Megan Smith; and his siblings, Gerald Silas Smith, Joan Lee Smith, Melvin Smith, Terry Smith, Judy Smith, Earl Smith and Sharlene Kasee.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Shannon Powless (Veronica), Tera Jean Smith (Chris), Johnathan Smith (Amber) and Jacklyn Smith; and his siblings, Elizabeth Dennison, Cecil Smith, Rose Thompson (Harvey), Valerie La Plante, Dawit Smith, Selma Smith, Malphais Smith (Ginny) and Verda House (Kim). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Ryan Funeral Home & Crematory (305 N 10th St, De Pere, WI 54115). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
