She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Alvin Summers and Dorothy Summers (Bain); her sons, Shayne and Brent (Elizabeth); her siblings, Sandy Fitzgerald (Kim Summers), Nancy Summers (Jim Paape), Jan Van Den Heuvel (Gary Janssen), Sandy Van Thiel (Jay), Cheryl McCarthy (Tom) and Bev Romenesko (Jerry); her husband Wayne Jansen; her siblings, Dick Summers and Mary Janssen; her brother-in-law Tom Fitzgerald; and also, James and Patricia. She was also cherished by her many nieces and nephews, countless friends and other extended family.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established for Karen.
