She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Straten and Bertha Van Straten (Vander Heiden); her husband Robert A. Hermes (Bob); and her siblings, LaVerne George, Neil Van Straten, Betty Hunter, Jerry Van Straten and Pat Durban.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Hermes (Brenda), Steve Hermes (Bonnie), Tom Hermes (Kathy) and Julie Engels. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
