He was predeceased by: his wife Kathleen Scheunemann; his parents-in-law, Alice and Hugo Scheunemann; and his parents, Mary Boogard and Joe Vanden Boogard.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Joan; his children, Mindy Vanden Boogard (Frank Feehrer) and Jake Vanden Boogard (Jessica Titus); his granddaughter Savanna Furcho; and his siblings, Trish Erickson (Al), Judy Delain (Dave), Mark Vanden Boogard (Sue), Anne Westbrook, John "Rocky" Vanden Boogard (Mary), Paul Vanden Boogard (Jim) and Dan Vanden Boogard (DeeDee). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, Multiple Myeloma Research.
