He was predeceased by: his parents, Eli Koenig and Evelyn Koenig (Jensen); his brother Bob; his sister-in-law Alice Koenig; and his uncle Art Jensen.
He is survived by: his wife Christine; his children, Rene VanCampenhout (Alan Case), David Koenig (Lisa Spielbauer), Polly Van Lanen (Roger), Joseph Koenig (Lisa) and Stephanie Schoenwalder (Scot); and his grandchildren, Ryan VanCampenhout (Cassi), Paul VanCampenhout, Kennedy Viana (Lucca), Reese Koenig, Evan Van Lanen (Renee), Josie Jantz (Drew Leatherberry), Samantha Haupt (Justin), Danielle Widdes (Harrison) and Grayce Schoenwalder. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church - Ledgeview (4805 Sportsman Dr, De Pere, WI 54115). A Mass was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
