He was predeceased by: his parents, Anton Grossbier and Alma Grossbier (Schiferl); his children, Tonya and Trent; his siblings, Bernice Grossbier, Mildred Schiller, Cel Raschke (Rich), Ellie Ertl (Ron), Leo, Walter J., Bob and Jim Grossbier; his siblings-in-law, Jana Snyder, Jean Schmidt and Jack Schmidt; and his parents-in-law, Henry and Marjorie Schmidt.
He is survived by: his wife Jill Schmidt of Anthony's Catholic Church; his sons, Troy and Tayt (Kaylan); his granddaughters, Kaitlyn (Trevor) and Addyson; his siblings, Vi Carolfi (Butch), Rosie Skibba (Skip), Mary Kielpinski (Ron), Gene Grossbier (Josephine), Ralph Grossbier (Judy) and Wally Grossbier; and his siblings-in-law, Pat Grossbier, Pam Schmidt, June Erickson (Roger) and Jerry Schmidt (Amanda). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
